When my partner Faith and I decided to book a vacation this past summer, we decided to include our love of motorcycles. We shopped around the internet and found all kinds of offers, and out of the lot we picked Hispania-Tours. We liked what we read, and the idea of a small group appealed to us. The decision was made and we even decided to bring Faith's daughter Allison along too! When we arrived in Malaga we were met by the beautiful Eva, who did everything she could to help out with our "lost luggage" situation. (Unfortunately, we STILL do not have Allison's suitcase or clothes!) After the long airplane trip from Seattle to Malaga, the beautiful La Hurredura was an enjoyable site. After a nice rest overnight we were ready to start on our adventure! We found out that the others scheduled to make the trip with us had something come up and had canceled, so it was just Johannes, Faith, and Allison and me on bikes. Wow! A private guided tour! Could it get any better than this? Let me tell you, Johannes knows the roads of Spain like the back of his hand! The routes he took us on, the hotels he selected for us to spend the night, the wines he selected for dinner and the food! It was all just FANTASTIC! I must say that I was a bit concerned with all the twistys and my riding ability, especially on a strange bike with Allison on behind me. Johannes is obviously skilled at knowing the capabilities of his riders and never once let us get beyond our abilities. The BMW's were flawless machines in perfect condition. If you have never ridden one, please go do it! The are fantastic machines and extremely easy to become familiar with. We liked them so much, we have already purchased our first, to go with our two cruisers! Oh my, I lost track of where I was... The routes Johannes selected for our journey were absolutely perfect! The white villages that we passed through and saw in the distance were like something from a move, book or post card. It was amazing to think that we were actually seeing this first hand, as it was so absolutely gorgeous! The roads were perfectly banked in the turns and the smoothest I've ridden on. There was very little traffic, and those that did come along Johannes kept away from us perfectly! The hotels that Johannes selected were extremely nice and very comfortable. We found it interesting that all the rooms had twin beds. Something you don't see at all in the U.S. We also came away from Spain with a new appreciation of Spanish wines. Johannes selected some of the most wonderful wines we have ever tasted. And the tapas, the cheeses and olives, the Iberian ham, and the list goes on and on! Delicious! Johannes saved the best for last, though. He took us for piaha for our last dinner, back in La Hurredura. Let me tell you, it was the most fantastic meal I've ever had! If you are reading this, trying to decide if this is the right trip for you, don't delay another second! Johannes, Karin, & Eva are Fantanstic hosts! You can not go wrong! Book your trip! We did and loved it! ...and we WILL go back again for another trip soon. I'm thinking that Morocco trip is sounding pretty good... Terry Whitford, Edmonds, WA. USA

Close your eyes and imagine your dream motorcycle trip. Can you see yourself effortlessly cruising along empty yet perfectly paved roads with curve after curve ahead. Can you see yourself snatching glimpses of beautiful landscape, from seacoast to mountaintops, as you drift along the curves. Can you smell fresh coffee brought to you on a riding break while you're seated in a centuries old village square surrounded by the most incredible historic buildings while the slow pace of life flows around you. And at the end of a perfect day of riding, can you see yourself relaxing in a clean quiet place, sipping a cold beer and sharing pleasantries and a fabulous meal. You could be dreaming...or you could be in Southern Spain with Johannes and Hispania Tours.

My husband Brian, and I just returned from the Andalusia Especial Tour and enjoyed all of the above and more on the best motorcycle vacation I have ever had. I am not a particularly adventurous, fast or deft rider and I had never traveled by motorcycle outside of the US/Canada. So I did have some concerns, mostly with my ability to handle riding in Spain. (I confess, I was also a bit concerned about language barriers too. ) But, silly me, I should not have worried. I have never felt more welcomed and comfortable on a motorcycle as with Johannes. The entire tour was delightful and I would do it again without hesitation. The motorcycles were perfectly maintained, the roads were fantastic, the Spanish people were lovely, the care Johannes showed for all of us was reassuring, especially his knowledge of local roads and history. I thoroughly enjoyed the small but manageable challenges during my ride and am quite pleased with my improvement as a motorcycle rider as a result of this tour. And I will never forget the fantastic time we had at the Parador in Cazorla or the tapas bar in Granada. Mucho Fantastico!

I would encourage anyone, especially women who may not feel absolutely confident in their riding abilities, to consider going with Johannes on this, or any, of his tours. You will feel safe, comfortable and well cared for and will gather memories of the best vacation you ever had with wonderful motorcycle companions. I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have about this tour, but I do truly recommend it highly. The only regret you should have is if you do not take such a fantastic tour.

Warm regards to Johannes and Eva

Howdy, Johannes. Gail is going to write her own entry in your guestbook later. It's been a month since we got back from the June Andalucia Especial tour. I wanted to let a little time go by so that I was not unduly influenced by the immediacy of the tour. Now, with a little distance, I can be more objective.

What an outstanding vacation! It was so much more than I had expected: more beautiful, empty roads; more friendly people; more curves (!!!); more great food; more challenging riding; more wonderful scenery; more up and down (and up and down) topography. For me, every day was a new adventure. I had no idea there could be so many roads with so many curves and hairpins. I have never seen the like. Following your line through the curves was very instructive and inspires me to try and become a better rider. We really appreciated your attention to our safety and comfort. I am always a bit anxious when we plan a trip with a guide; so much of how the trip turns out depends on the attitude and skills of the guide. Now I cannot imagine having a better or more congenial host. From the moment Eva greeted us at the airport with a wave and a wink, I knew we were going to have a good time. We always had a great place to spend the night. I enjoyed every single meal, but the crowded, noisy, totally Spanish experience at Bodegas Castaneda in Granada was incomparable and will always be a favorite memory.

This is the honest truth: I am surprised that you are not fully booked for several years out. I hope we can come back soon. I really want to see the Extremadura...and I really miss my late-morning cafe cortado.

Thanks for a great experience.

Fantastic trip! The route (Andalusia Especial) was more spectacular than I had imagined, and Johannes is a professional in every respect, having carefully planned every aspect of the trip. I'll definitely be back to explore more of Spain with Hispania.

The Morocco tour in Feb 2007 was a great experience. Both guides, Johannes and Juan were very experienced travellers and were knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone that loves adventures. Morocco is a very scenic country and the people are wonderful. The group of seven motorcycle was a good size to travel with. All participants were great. I would consider this tour again in a few years. I will remember this experience for a long time. Louis
